The inspiring, tireless Ruth Barnett, author of Person of No Nationality, will be speaking all over the country over the next few months about her experience as a kindertranportee. Since she spoke on BBC Radio 4’s Reunion programme, about the effect on her life of being a child refugee from Nazi Germany, she has become much sought after as speaker. Her book will soon need a 3rd print run in 12 months and is a well-merited success. Ruth also gives talks on genocide prevention and is an active campaigner for justice for the victims of the Armenian genocide and against persecution of Gypsies. The range of her speaking engagements is reflected here. School events are mostly private events and reflect her concern to teach the next generation how to avoid prejudice. She welcomes opportunities to give talks to children.
